7 Marketing Resources We’re Thankful For

Marketing is rapidly changing, so the right tools and insights are the difference between success and a dull campaign. Reflecting on 2023 left us feeling grateful for the resources we use to make sure our clients’ marketing efforts are a success.

There is no better time to express our gratitude for the invaluable marketing resources that keep our team informed, inspired, and ahead of the curve – and no better time to share our favorites with you.

Otter AI

In the era of AI, it’s no wonder that an AI system earns its rightful place on our list of invaluable resources. While we’re not letting ChatGPT run our projects or write our content, we do leverage Otter AI to make the most of our meetings. The mundane chore of typing out transcripts or scribbling notes during meetings is like doing paperwork at a party – it’s the “eat your vegetables” of work tasks.

Otter AI helps us skip to the dessert course by transforming the laborious process into a delightful treat. Senior Creative Manager Sarah Eustler passionately declares it to be “hands-down the best tool for getting fast transcriptions of interviews and meetings.” Otter AI is the culinary delight that reduces our “work about work” to an afterthought. Otter AI allows us to focus on the meat and potatoes of our discussions and ideas without manual transcription. It’s our AI-powered sidekick, ensuring we stay focused on the creative feast of ideas.

Canva

As we gather around the table of marketing resources we’re thankful for the way Canva helps even the most junior of designers work like pros. Amelia Lynas, Green Loop’s Marketing Specialist, swears by its creative capabilities to craft polished, professional content for clients. Green Loop’s skilled Intern, Sarah Oliver, aptly characterizes it, “Canva is hands-down the most user-friendly design platform.”

With its cornucopia of design tools and our team’s expertise, we consistently produce stunning visuals that align with our clients’ brand identities. Whether it’s crafting engaging social media posts, infographics, or polished presentations, Canva streamlines the design process, ensures our marketing materials deliver visually engaging assets, and allows our team to channel their energy into bringing captivating content to life.

Unsplash

Unsplash, a resource that offers a buffet of royalty-free images, emerges as another brilliant marketing tool on our list of resources. Our talented copywriter, Una Hartzell-Baird, considers it her favorite resource for obtaining royalty-free images. What sets Unsplash apart is not just the quality of images, but the diverse representation it offers. Una notes that “it’s easy to find people from all walks of life featured.”

This wealth of visual content helps marketers craft compelling and inclusive marketing materials that connect with a broad and diverse audience. Unsplash makes it easy for the team at Green Loop to access top-notch visuals, ensuring that our creative content is not only engaging, but also authentic and relatable.

The Marketing Brew Newsletter

Our Marketing Manager Haley Williams and Jenny Rodriguez – one of our sharp interns – introduced us to the world of Marketing Brew. Describing it as “a quick and effortless 5-minute read packed with marketing trends, campaigns, and industry news.” Marketing Brew echoes this idea, promising to keep us in-the-know with insights ranging from the latest platform updates to in-depth campaign analysis, ensuring we stay informed and up-to-date on all industry developments. Marketing Brew embodies their mission to inform, educate, and empower leaders, both today and tomorrow. Striking a balance between concise and comprehensive, it’s a valuable addition to our decadent list of resources.

Downdetector

Downdetector is another noteworthy asset to add to our marketing toolkit. Their website declares that they are driven by unbiased and transparent user reports, as well as problem indicators sourced from across the internet. Downdetector empowers individuals by helping them understand disruptions to crucial services such as the internet, social media, web hosting platforms, and more. With comprehensive insights into all services and platforms, Downdetector informs consumers on how to navigate times of service disruption. Our Senior Marketing Manager, Jordan Shea, attests, “I feel like I use it in the most dire of times and it never lets me down.” Downdetector helps us stay resilient in the face of unexpected service interruptions.

LinkedIn

Our Social Media Strategist, Hannah Lushin, shares her affection for LinkedIn, “I love LinkedIn more than any other ad platform.” With LinkedIn being the world’s largest professional network, it offers opportunities to connect with a highly targeted audience. It welcomes businesses and their potential customers to a communal table allowing companies to foster meaningful connections and showcase their expertise to engaged audiences.

Peers, Colleagues, and Other Thoughtful People

Our guest of honor when it comes to the best marketing resources is the biggest resource of all – other people. Graphic Designer Christina Valdez beautifully reminds us that one of the most important marketing resources is the people themselves “both in terms of who is marketing and who the target audience is.”

Christina adds, “I love seeing what other marketers come up with and how people receive that information.” It’s important to find inspiration in the creative journeys of others. At Green Loop we embrace the power of collaboration and connection. We believe that working together, making new friends, and forming meaningful partnerships are the keys to tackling marketing challenges. We’re not just a team, we’re a community. We’re deeply grateful for all of the people coming together to drive innovation and progress in the marketing world.
