MARKETING INTERN

Emma Hendrix

Emma grew up on a farm and developed a love for plants that’s turned into a tiny obsession with collecting pothos varieties. She’s a devoted plant mom with a delightfully specific ritual of picking up coloring religiously for a couple weeks every year, calling it a “creative reset.” This reset creates value when Emma steps back and approaches things from a fresh perspective. Seemingly unrelated, these two activities actually reflect important qualities she brings to marketing: the discipline and patience of keeping plants alive (looking at you, snake plant) with the mindful creativity of adult coloring.

Emma was drawn to Green Loop specifically because she wanted an internship with a marketing agency that looked like a fun environment for women and the flexible hours that would allow her to balance school and athletics. Sometimes the best career decisions start with recognizing where you want to be and who you want to learn from, rather than overthinking the perfect plan.

As someone new to the marketing world, Emma's superpower lies in her fresh perspective and willingness to learn. She approaches each project without preconceived notions about "how things should be done," which often leads to innovative ideas and questions that seasoned marketers might not think to ask.

Though Emma is early in her marketing journey, her approach to every project reflects genuine care for the end result. She consistently looks for ways to contribute meaningfully, whether through research, creative input, or simply asking the right questions that help the team see projects from a new angle.

Emma's marketing philosophy is rooted (plant pun totally intended) in curiosity and authenticity. Her guiding question for every piece of work is simple: "Does this genuinely help, inspire, or engage the audience?" This mindset ensures that even as an intern, she's thinking strategically about impact rather than just completing tasks.
